So, I'm twenty-one. Which really means nothing in Alberta because the legal age is 18 and I've been drinking since I was in junior high, anyway. Still, it's kind of neat. I got a Kobo and a bunch of chapter's gift cards and a bottle of Jim Beam, plus some books. I'm spoiled, but I'm easy to shop for. So y'know, in Ubik, by Philip K Dick, they've got psychedelic and hallucinogenic drugs that people can buy in vending machines. I think that's a really nifty idea. Here are a few places you really should submit to. Bastion Science Fiction, at Bastionmag.com, because they not only have very professional standards, but if your story is rejected they will tell you exactly why. This is unusual and invaluable. Pays. Nebula Rift, at FictionMagazines.com. It, like most other magazines on that site, is pretty nascent but it seems like a great place to start. Pays royalties. Redwing, at Graceandvictory.ca. Canadian publication, they haven't yet published their first issue. They seem good-humored and they pay five bucks a pop through paypal. The more subscribers and contributors they get, the more they'll pay.

While not otherwise occupied, I splurge prose onto a page and worry afterwards about things like coherence or meaning. Far Too Long, Podcasts

Three months at least.  I've managed to find the time to throw up a character sketch--(i.e. "Paragons")--but nothing else.  Doing my best to type or write anything aside from hard news stories and the three features I have on-the-go in various stages of completeness.  I've had very little luck.  Thank you, post-secondary. Audiocide Up at Story Shack

Find it here.  I've fallen in love with the illustration after seeing it go by on my Facebook feed.  Thanks to Darcy Rozen for creating it.  It isn't what I imagined, but it fits the atmosphere (literally) of what I was intending.  Thanks once again to the Story Shack for being a place where I can publish on a semi-regular basis.  To anyone out there who writes short fiction and is looking for a place to send their stuff, I can't recommend them enough.
